A Steering Committee drawn from the stakeholder communities is working with the principal investigators from the University of Michigan to refine the objectives of the planning process, to  participate in activities designed to achieve the objectives, to help engage members of their respective communities, and to prepare or provide input into planning documents and recommendations. To date, this committee has met once face-to-face and has held regular phone and web conferences. Their next teleconference is scheduled for December 19, 2007.
